Tiwa Savage Biography
On the 5th of February 1980 Tiwa Savage was born in Isale Eko on the island part of Lagos Nigeria.
When she turns 11 her family relocated to London where she schooled and played trombone for the school’s orchestra band.
Tiwa Savage later graduated from the University of Kent with a degree in accounting. Immediately, she entered the career market and briefly worked at The Royal Bank of Scotland.
At the age of 16, she was a back-up singer for George Michael and later Mary J Blige, Chaka Khan, Kelly Clarkson and other top UK musical icons.
To further hone her skills, she had to enroll at Berklee College of Music and finished with a degree in Professional Music in 2007.
As her career advanced, she later got a deal with Sony ATV where her role was to write for Fantasia, Babyface, Kat Deluna and Mya.
She has received song writing credits and also earn a Grammy nomination in 2010 for her contribution on Fantasias hit song “Collard Green & Conrbread”
