Every December when its time for big wiz or Wizkid Dayo to do his thing especially in O2 Arena London, we all stand still.
Because in 2 seconds everywhere is gonna burst!
In 2019 Wizkid was the first Nigerian artist to shut down the O2 Arena in London.
This year he has already sold out 2 dates in O2 Arena London alone. But because of the popular demand his management and The O2 Arena are adding a third date.
What all this means is dough (big bags)
After this December Wizkid bank account and net worth will swell, no doubt.
The Mil Tour by Wizkid has been the headliner for days now.
Last night, on stage he told his London fans that he came with his fire friends and they are… Tems, Bella Shmurda, Buju, Skepta, Dj Tunez, Blaq Bonez and a host of others.
Looking at the show from the topmost part of the ace event center the atmosphere is electrifying.
This is to say that the show was a SUCCESS.
When phenomenal things like this happens in the industry, we at Acurees go straight to the finances behind.
Now lets have an idea of how much Wizkid can make from his O2 Arena show in London.
The O2 Arena is a 20,000 capacity event center for top shows like Wizzy’s.
According to ticketsmarter.com Wizkid show tickets averages around 223 Dollars.
Multiply that to 20,000 that is 4.460 million Dollars. (note that some tickets can be more than $223 Dollars)
Label will get their cut, the organisers too, then O2 Arena and other miscellaneous spendings.
That can take up to about 3 part of the total revenue of the show.
At the end of the day, Wizkid can comfortably go home (Ghana) with a whooping 1 Million Dollars! and thats about N400 Million Naira in Nigerian money.
Mind you, that’s for 1 dates, because he still has 2 dates to rake in more millions.
Now you see that there is money in music.
